The Chakra System

The body’s energy centers are referred to in Sanskrit as Chakra’s meaning “wheel.” There are seven main chakras, also coined as centers of energy in the body. The energy centers are located along our spine, starting at the spine’s base flowing to our head’s crown. Each chakra corresponds to a sound, color, organ, mantra or incantation, and element. The spine represents a central channel for the flow of energy throughout the body. Please think of the chakras as metaphors for expressing consciousness as it manifests in our body through energy.
